Research and Development
Bellwether Agriculture as sub-licencee of Andigen International Pty Ltd maintains a close relationship with Andigen LC to take advantage of new and updated technologies flowing from research and development efforts.
Performance and modifications to Andigen LC's proprietary IBR systems are ongoing utilising the resources of Utah State University (USU) where the IBR concept was first developed. Access to continual academic research and development will guarantee a competitive edge for the technology and Bellwether Agriculture's clients in the future.

Conly L Hansen, Ph.D.
For 20 years Conly Hansen has lead his field in researching and engineering anaerobic digesters. He provides Andigen LC with leadership and expert knowledge and experience in research and engineering. Dr Hansen is a member of the American Society of Agricultural Engineers (ASAE), the Institute of Biological Engineers (IBE) and the American Dairy Science Association (ADSA) Dr. Hansen received Bachelor of Science (1971) and Master of Science (1973) in Mechanical Engineering from Utah State University and a Ph.D. (1980) from Ohio State University in Agricultural Engineering. Dr. Hansen is a professor and Director of the Center of Excellence in Profitable Uses of Agricultural Byproducts at Utah State University. His research centres on finding ways to manage and utilize low value agricultural production and processes.
Carl Hansen, Ph.D.
Carl is a research engineer with over 30 years in agriculture and co-inventor of the IBR anaerobic digester process. Carl has also written comprehensive Nutrient Management plans as required by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for dairy farmers in Utah and Idaho, having trained and certified in both states. Dr Hansen is an assistant research professor in the Department of Nutrition and Food Science and Associate Director, Centre for Profitable Uses of Agricultural By-products at Utah State University (USU). |
